Beaches near Trebethrick, North Cornwall

Tregreen is a holiday house in North Cornwall. There are a number of separate and distinct beaches within easy walking distance of Tregreen to cater for many of the traditional beach pursuits. Daymer Bay is ideal for young children with safe bathing and wide expanses of sand at low tide, gentle and unthreatening breakers and rocks pools for crabbing and shrimping. Greenaway Beach, situated at the bottom of the cliff below Tregreen and approached by concrete steps leading off the main coastal path, is the ideal rock pool beach for older children. It is not protected by the sand bar across the end of the Camel Estuary. Big Cave is a special less frequented beach between Greenaway Beach and Polzeath, but it can only be accessed when the spring tides are specially low. Finally Polzeath beach is the principal surfing beach in the area, but it also has its share of sheltered spots and rock pools and is much favoured by young families.
